Limits on Confidentiality

However there are certain situations in which disclosures made to me cannot be kept strictly private, either ethically or legally. These include the following:

1. Where serious and immediate risk of harming yourself or someone else is imminent.

2. If you indicate that you are involved in any form of abuse regarding a minor child, someone who is a disabled person, or an elderly adult.

3. If I am ordered by the court system to release information.

Please be assured that your right to confidentiality is very important to me. In the unlikely event that confidentiality is breached, I will use care and discretion while meeting legal and ethical obligations
